I am a Proud Provider of the American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid training.
The primary purpose of this course is to provide individuals with a foundation of first aid principles and skills that they can use to respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have immediate emergency medical services. In addition to wilderness and remote environments, urban disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes also fall into this category.
Since role play and imagination are used to learn the concepts and practice the skills, this is both a fun and useful course for any group: scouts, friends, family bonding, team building, co-workers. The 16 hour course is designed for 6-10 participants. A certification in Adult CPR/AED is required in order to register. Participants must be 14 years old by the end of the last session.
